Peep peep.... there's a new baby!!

Okay guys, I finally got a chance to see my little babies- they are not so little anymore. My friend has done a great job with them and they are very friendly and big and healthy. Here's a picture I took- it was hard to get a picture because they were moving around so much!

Hi guys! I have to work on getting a decent picture of them. I took one last week but they were still too little to hold their heads up so it's just a picture of the biggest one's back, he was sitting on the little one. I try not to bother momma Akasha too much though. They are getting bigger every day. They are a little over a week old now and already tripled in size. It's just amazing how fast they grow. Just watching them day by day is like seeing Mother Nature at work. OK- I know you all like pictures- here's a picture of Lyric on the first day that I took him from his nestbox. He is sitting next to the eggs that didn't hatch so you can see an idea of how much they grow in the first three weeks. He was 20 days old here.

Elmo will never be a breeder. I took her into work with me the other day and put her down next to the 3 baby greys we have. Most Greys check out babies and most of the time try to feed them or preen them, but Elmo just turned around and put her foot up for me to pick her up . If I ever want the pitter flaps of baby greys around I'll have to get two new greys. Thats fine with me though...if I breed parrots I want to breed Palms .

There's two babies now! I'm so happy! Momma and daddy are doing such a good job caring for them too. I'm glad they are good parronts!

Thanks everyone! I'm very excited. I pulled Lyric at 3 weeks old and handfed him. This baby is going to a great friend of mine who is a stay-at-home mom and bird breeder. I plan to pull them at 3 weeks old again and then she will get the fun of handfeeding them, weaning, socializing and finding them good homes. I would do it myself but at this moment in time I'm just too busy to do it and I feel like it would take time away from Lyric and my other animals. If things settle down for me in the future then I'm sure I'll do it again... I just get so attached to them though, I could end up with a million birds and that would be sooo messy!

Like Lovelylew asked, you should pull the babies in a few weeks to hand feed...I'm sure you already know that though!

BABIES!!! I love babies...I just got mine 3 weeks ago and I already want more! I can't take it....someone needs to commit me!
