ALL MY NEW FIDS!

LOL! I am not sure what the food bill is....I try not to think about it! I know it just went up a WHOLE lot just with Tuki! LOL


I know I use about 6 pounds a week of cockatiel food, 3 pounds of budgie, 5 pounds of conure size pellets, 3 pounds of large parrot pellets (colored), 2 pounds of non-colored(large), 2 pounds of parrot seed, 9 or so pounds of fresh foods veggies and fruit, 4 huge batches of bird bread, 2 boxes of rice, a bag of beans, a carton of eggs, 1 pound of finch food, 1 pound of dove food, 1 pound of rabbit food, 8 pounds of cat food and 2 20 pound bags of cat litter............in one week

Not to mention I spend at least $50 a week on treats, a good $40-50 on toys and then the vet bills....thank god for my bird savings fund!

So here's my question....What's the food bill? Between my dogs and birds I'm at about $300/month...I can only imagine

Oh and normally even if one is aggressive they still like to get some! lol He should be fine.

I found out that you always always take the female to the male, just because he will be interested in marking her cage as his territory instead of mating with her. And this is funny, but it only takes a second, when the male falls over on his back the job is done! For the next 12-24 hours take the female back to your males cage and let him have his way with her, she will let you know when she's had enough. You have to wait about 4-6 hours inbetween mating. So start kind of early and hopefully you will have them mate about 4 times that day. Mine would only allow 3. Than at day 10 you put her back in with him and see if she will let him mate her, if she won't she is bred!

LMAO! Ronda you are so funny! I just love ya, you can always make me laugh! Congrats on the new Buns and make sure to either pos or send me pics!! Im supposed to be breeding my male to my neighbors female, so I too may have babies soon (Netherland dwarf). But im nervous because shes aggressive...will she hurt my male...do you have any tips on how to go about breeding them?

Oh and good news! I have a woman who wants me to come to her house, she is about a 2 hour drive from me, but she said if I would take the drive she would make it worth my while! I was interested in this one buck she has for sale and than she has a doe that is due on friday that I wanted, she is selling them both to me for $45 and than she wants to cut down on her herd a bit and told me she had a few I could pick from that I could just have!! I told her I would take the drive out there than! Jessie has no idea though lmao! He will if he reads this lol.
