WING CLIPPING

Hi Tammy, yes you should def clip the other wing! I don't know why people do that, I think it's cruel to throw them off balance like that. I clip my own parrots wings, it all depends on how well your bird will let them handle them. I for one have to towel mine and have hubby help me. Find out how many are clipped on the one side already. Usually it's 5 but can be up to 7 or 8. Grey's are top heavy and they need to be able to glide to the ground and not hurt their breast bone. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, most of the time a pet shop that has parrots will offer wing trimming. Only do it though if you feel comfortable. Just watch for blood feathers, but normally they are further back than 5 feathers, and if you follow the guide you should be fine.

I need to get some feedback on this one please.
My baby TAG arrived with only one wing clipped. I have noticed that s/he is slightly off balance. Do you think I should attempt the trim of the other wing myself? What is the best way to do this?
