That is great! Is that sand holding it in?? Let me give you a warning lol, I don't have this yet and that is a great thought to use, but I know that the Cockatoo's like to fling stuff around and food and sand is one of them lol. Mine takes his food poors it down his back and than eats it, well the food lol. It's a thing they do in the wild to keep bugs off of them. It's funny to see lol. I have not had mine do sand for he can't get to any lol, but I read that is one of the things they will poor on their backs. I'll have to try to find that article lol.

But very nice Goffin and nice stand!!!

That tree is awesome! Good job! Did you use concrete to hold it in the pot? And, the picture of Canolli is awesome too- he is so cute-- now I want one Sad Thanks for sharing with us.

No problem Jen, I actually went out and cut a branch off of our apple tree with the leaves on it and our Goffin is running from the branch at the moment lol, but I know by evening he will love it! Here is another site as well!

Another link for safe wood for parrots

Good Question Jen! Thanks for asking this it has not been brought up yet here on the forum! I found this site that has a ton of trees listed not to use and trees safe to use and why they are or aren't safe to use.

Wood safe for parrots/birds Click here to see!
