Well goodness Claire you have been busy! Can't wait to see what you've done! Glad your back though!!
Re: Pictures of Your Bird Room (or setup)
Well I have been busy making changes around here.....I moved my master bedroom down to the family room (former bird room) and moved the birdies up to where the master was...I ripped out all the carpet in there and laid down lineoleum (for easy cleaning)...The bird room is now connected to a bath for easier birdy showers and I am slowly hanging things from the wall and ceiling to make it more bird friendly! They seem to like it in there and b/c Violet and Cash are flighted, I feel safer with having to go through 2 doors to get in or out. I will take some pictures as I get time. That's why I haven't been around much lately!

Re: Pictures of Your Bird Room (or setup)
lol - Rhonda - a pooping machine! You're funny! I never thought of laying towels down, that's probably a good idea. I put newspaper down when she's out of her cage, but even when she's eating, she flings food around, and it gets sticky. I'm just trying to avoid ants since the warm weather is coming upon us. Don't want ants around that sicky food - lol

Yes all the poop catchers! Let me tell you, a Cockatoo can really go! I thought SweetHeart's were big lol. I bought some cleaning towels and put them under where his boing is so now all I have to do is throw them in the washer lol. He's a poopin machine!
Re: Pictures of Your Bird Room (or setup)
WOW, it's so cool seeing everyone's bird rooms and cages. LOL - gotta love the newspaper and dropping catchers - lol - looks like my area too! I'll try and get some pictures too so I can share.

Re: Pictures of Your Bird Room (or setup)
Wow your birds are soooo lucky. Mine have bits and pieces all over the place. A cage for 2 in the dining room, a cage in the office and a cage in the hall, and a couple of portable stands in the sitting room and bedroom. My babies are obviously deprived

Re: Pictures of Your Bird Room (or setup)
Nice pictures Ronda. Don't mind your gate I don't even have kids and I have one. An addition - oh now that is trouble, more birds coming.
I must admit my dog that lives in the house isn't too bothered with the bird, she is actually scared of it until it is locked in the cage only then will she come near it. Usually when Mischief is out she stays off the floor and far away. I also do not leave them unattended.
Thanks for sharing

Re: Pictures of Your Bird Room (or setup)
They are great with the birds! We actually have 4 inside dogs, 2 big labs and a chihuahua/Dotson mix and a Cocker/Shitzu mix. Even when they fly off their cages they just look at them go lol. I never leave them in the room un-attended of course. If I leave to go to the bathroom or something I will put the birds back in their cages until I come back out. That or I lock all of them up in the hallway, I'm sure you can see the child proof gate in the hall way lol. Needless to say my kids are 9 and 12 lol so it's a doggy gate.
Thanks on the rug! And I got Molly's cage and SweetHeart's cage at a Petsmart that was going out of business and got them both for $350!! I really got a good deal on them! Molly finally adjusted to her cage, she was in the same crappy one since we got her and she is 12 years old! She did a little feather picking, but she is on her way to growing them back.

I love Molly's cage, I think that those are so cute! And I love your rug too! That would be a perfect place to put an addition to make room for more babies. I noticed that your dogs are out. How do they react to the birds. I have always been too afraid to even let them anywhere near them

Now here is Molly's cage (Quaker)
Here is Casper's cage (Goffin) and behind his cage you will see the two windows I want to take out and build an addition out the back lol.
And here is SweetHeart's Cage (TAG)

Re: Pictures of Your Bird Room (or setup)
That is very nice Claire! Nice to have the room in your house to make just a bird room! We are wanting to take out two windows in our living room and make a addition out the back. Looks very nice!
Re: Pictures of Your Bird Room (or setup)
Well I'll start since everyone else is being shy Cash's cage is the far left (the huge one) Next to him is Pedro, to the right of his is the new babys cage (well eventually), then Boo Boo Cockatoo's. They all love the big boing and I usually take the stand upstairs for when we play up there.
