Re: Bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Ronda,
Sorry to hear this bad news. I feel for you and the kids. It is always hard to loose a pet even if it was only a baby. My son lost one of the new baby cockateils in the box last week. We had to go and bury it in the yard next to the others that we lost over the years. The baby was only a week old at the time.
Again sorry for the loss.

Awww im sorry!! thats really too bad, but let it be a learning experience for the next batch! As a breeder you learn from everything!! While it sucks at the time you just have to remember what you learned from the experience.

Re: Bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I'm sorry to report that this morning the baby died. I went in and warmed it up with the hair dryer and he was fine, put him in the box with mommy and drove the kids down to the bus, came back and the baby was dead. I think the mommy stomped it. They will do this sometimes when they only have one left. So we will have to try next time! Thanks everyone for keeping your fingers crossed, it just wasn't meant to be. Have a good Tuesday!
Re: Bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! It will be a black bunny I do know that. I really hope it makes it! We are naming it Kyler, it means "Little warrior". We are at day 3. If we can make it till day 9 I think we will be ok. I will keep updates coming now that I know you guys care lol. Thanks!!! My daughter is really happy that everyone is rooting for her bunny!

Re: Bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is brilliant!!! Surely if it survived 24 hours then that is a really good sign (I know NOTHING about bunnies!). But if it is warm and getting fed, it has more than a fighting chance. I really hope it makes it.

Re: Bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!!
For their size they were actually good. But of course being there was no hair until day 9 the wind go to them. I brought her and the one baby she has left in the house tonight because it is suppose to get down to 40 tonight. I will leave them in here for as long as the baby lives until he/she has hair at about 2-3 weeks old and doing good. I really hope the next batch will be better! It's soo sad to see the mommy looking around the cage for her babies! But just maybe just maybe we will have a little miracle bunny! He is warm again and she is feeding him so please keep your fingers crossed!
Re: Bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aw they are so tiny. They wouldnt have had a hope. I hope your last little fellow makes it I really do. And if he does you had better keep him
You will definitely have better luck with your new pregnant mummy!

Re: Bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is still one baby alive, but honestly I don't think it will make it, I put a warm bottle of water in with it to try to warm it, the mother Holly is in there now with the baby which is unusual and she is trying to look for the other babies, which is very sad. I have been trying to read all morning long on how to try to save this baby and there is just no way to do it, so it will literally be a miracle if it survives. Everyone keep your fingers crossed!
But here are the pictures of the babies and the mom Holly. Hopefully it will be big enough to see. I made this collage for my daughter last night just so I didn't have to print out 9 pictures. My daughter is just heart broke and can't understand why we can't bottle feed it. There has to be at least 3 kits to survive by keeping each other warm, I placed a warm bottle of water in with the baby and mother, but still don't think this will help any. Well I'm rambling, I need to keep doing some research cause we are going to hopefully be getting another mother that is pregnant this week and due on the 13th. I pray that this won't happen again! Thank you everyone!

Re: Bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very sad to report that all the babies died last night due to a wind storm, it blew their nest away pretty much and they got too cold.
Bunnies!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok we just started raising rabbits. They are called Lionhead rabbits. They are soo cute! They are only 3-4 lbs at their adult weight and have this cute little lion mane around their heads, hence the name Lionhead lol. I just created this site and I would love for all of you to check it out! Thanks!!
Feel free to leave me feedback on the site too, there is a guest book link on there!
Oh and my mommy rabbit Holly just had her litter of 8 babies! There are pics on my site as well!
