I can try to get pictures, but it on the back on his neck, so, I don't know how good the picture will be. But I'll try!

Good question, it very well can be being there is red somewhere other than his tail. Can you get a pic for us? Hopefully someone who has seen or knows a little more about it can tell you for sure, but it would be neat to see!
RED factor
As some of you may know, my african grey, chad is a plucker! A bad plucker a might add. Which can be very annoying. ok, I'm getting off topic, I was playing wirh my cookatoo(she like to play on the small bird gym) which a noticed something red on the back of chad head under some of his feather. At first I thought it was blood, so, I went behind him, so, I could get a better look, then I blew on the back of his head to see if there was any kind of wound, and to my surprise saw more red but it wasn't blood it was feather's. My question, finally, is does this mean chad has red factor?
