I guess if he's a little grouch, you named him quite appropriately. Ours started off kind of crabby with everyone but me but as he aged he mellowed out considerably. He loved to have his head scratched and would sit with me as long as I would do it and let me rub and scratch his little head. At one point he went through a phase where he was building a nesting site for us- it was really quite flattering to me that he loved me that much.

Ours is a little grouch, and he's loud and enjoys getting the other birds riled up. The longer we have him the more I think he was treated worse than we were led to believe. He will tolerate my fiance' sometimes, but he will lunge if anyone else even looks at him much less walks near him.

I'm sorry for your loss, it sounds like you had a very sweet blue crown.

Hi Pam, glad you could join us. Beautiful flock you've got there. Don't you just love the little blue crown conures? They are loud but so sweet. I had one for many many years and he just recently passed on. Although I can't say I miss his loud voice, I do miss him dearly.
