cage aggressive

well i have noticed that i can't handle my quaker unless he is away from his cage. I did some reading up on that and it says you have to completly take them out of the room and away from the cage, cause something they get to where they want no one near there cage. i just though the lil shit didnt like me no more, the when i got him away he was all kisses and sweet. i have noticed i have had him now almost a year and he has a big vocabulary. it is funny to hear him talk to the other birds
